ABOUT CAPETOWN

It’s a modern city steeped in history, its history and culture are inextricably linked with that of today’s South Africa. Cape Town, locally known as IKAAPA is a coastal city and it’s the second most populous urban area after Johannesburg.

It’s also the capital and primate city of Western Cape Province. As the seat of the parliament of South Africa, it is also the legislative capital of the country.

Robben Island being one of Cape Town’s biggest tourist attractions and is a major highlight on a trip to the mother city. Most of South Africa’s famous freedom fighters were incarcerated here, including the great father of the Nation Nelson Mandela (Baba Madiba). Laced with one of the finest vineyards in the world and being the second most sort city in the world after New York.
